hadith 1093
10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Bakr ibn Salih from ibn Faddal from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ibrahim from Ah ibn abu Ah al-Lahbiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once asked me, ‘What do your physicians say about dinner?’ I replied, ‘They prohibit taking dinner.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘I however, command you to take dinner.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ اللَّهَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ مَا تَقُولُ أَطِبَّاؤُكُمْ فِي عَشَاءِ اللَّيْلِ قُلْتُ إِنَّهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَّا عَنْهُ قَالَ لَكِنِّي آمُرُكُمْ بِهِ .

12. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Bakr ibn Salih from al-Hassan ibn Ali from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ibrahim from Ali ibn abu Ali al-Lahabi from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High, grants good rewards to a person of excellent moral behavior as He grants rewards to one who strives hard (does Jihad) in the way of Allah, mornings and evenings.’”
12ـ وَعَنْهُ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ اللهبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَيُعْطِي الْعَبْدَ مِنَ الثَّوَابِ عَلَى حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ كَمَا يُعْطِي الْمُجَاهِدَ فِي سَبِيلِ الله يَغْدُو عَلَيْهِ وَيَرُوحُ.

4. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Bakr ibn Salih from al-Hassan ibn Ali from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ibrahim from Ali ibn abu Ali from abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) who has said the following
‘‘The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Of the most beloved deed to Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, is bringing joy to the heart of the believer.’”
4ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) إِنَّ أَحَبَّ الأعْمَالِ إِلَى الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِدْخَالُ السُّرُورِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Bukayr ibn Salih from al-Hassan ibn Ali from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ibrahim from Ali ibn abu Ali al-Lahabi from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘If four things are found in a person, even though he may be full of sins from his top to his toes, Allah will change his sins into good deeds. The four things are: truthfulness, bashfulness, excellence in moral behavior and gratefulness.’”
7ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ اللهبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) أَرْبَعٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَكَانَ مِنْ قَرْنِهِ إِلَى قَدَمِهِ ذُنُوباً بَدَّلَهَا الله حَسَنَاتٍ الصِّدْقُ وَالْحَيَاءُ وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ وَالشُّكْرُ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from al-Husayn ibn Ali al-‘Aqiliy from Ali ibn abu Ali al- Lahbiy who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, made Ali (a.s.), to wear turban and hanged one end down his front side but made it shorter for the end hanging down his back by four fingers. He (the Messenger of Allah) then asked him to go back which he did and then asked him to come forward which he also did and then he (the Messenger of Allah) said, ‘This is how the Tijan (crown) of the angels is.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ اللَّهَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
عَمَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَلِيّاً ( عليه السلام ) بِيَدِهِ فَسَدَلَهَا مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَ قَصَّرَهَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ قَدْرَ أَرْبَعِ أَصَابِعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَدْبِرْ فَأَدْبَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَقْبِلْ فَأَقْبَلَ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا تِيجَانُ الْمَلَائِكَةِ .

2-62 Muhammad ibn Ahmad Al-Asady narrated that Muhammad ibn Abi Imran quoted Abu Mus’ab Ahmad ibn Abu Bakr al-Zahri, on the authority of Ali ibn Abi Ali al-Lahabi, on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah that God’s Prophet (MGB) said, “
What I am most afraid of for my nation is unattainable aspirations andunreachable hopes. Aspirations would hinder one from the truth and unreachable hopes would make one forget the Hereafter. The life in this world is to be ended while the life in the Hereafter is ahead of you. Each life has its own children. Try to be of the children of the Hereafter if you can. Try not to be of the children of this world. Today you are alive, can do things and there is no Reckoning. However, tomorrow you will die and will be in the World of Reckoning where you cannot do anything.”
2-62 حدثنا محمد بن أحمد الاسدي قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي عمران قال: حدثنا أبومصعب أحمد بن أبي بكر الزهري قال: حدثنا علي بن أبي علي اللهبي عن محمد بن المنكدر عن جابر بن عبدالله قال
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: إن أخوفما أخاف على أمتي الهوى وطول الامل، أما الهوى فانه يصد عن الحق، وأما طول الامل فينسي الآخرة، وهذه الدنيا قدارتحلت مدبرة، وهذه الآخرة قدارتحلت مقبلة، ولكل واحدة منهما بنون، فان استطعتم أن تكونوا من أبناء الآخرة ولا تكونوا من أبناء الدنيا فافعلوا، فانكم اليوم في دار عمل ولا حساب وأنتم غدا في دار حساب ولا عمل

2-64 Abu Ahmad Muhammad ibn Ja’far al-Bandar al-Shafe’ee al-Furqany in Furqan narrated that Abul Abbas al-Himady quoted Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Shafe’ee, on the authority of his uncle Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Ali ibn Abi Ali al-Lahabi, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Munkadir, on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah that God’s Prophet (MGB) said, “
