مهزم الأسدي: عده الشيخ في رجاله: (تارة) في أصحاب الباقر عليه السلام (46). و (أخرى) في أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام (695). و (ثالثة) في أصحاب الكاظم عليه السلام (26)، قائلا: " مهزم الأسدي، روى عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام ". وعد البرقي مهزم الأسدي الكوفي من أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام، ممن أدركوا الباقر عليه السلام. روى عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى عنه الحسن بن بحر. الكافي: الجزء 6، كتاب الزي والتجمل 8، باب السواك 42، الحديث 5، وباب الادهان 56، الحديث 6، من الكتاب. وروى عنه ربيع بن محمد، ويونس. الكافي الجزء 2، كتاب الايمان والكفر 1، باب المؤمن وعلاماته وصفاته 99، الحديث 27. أقول: يحتمل اتحاده مع من بعده.
