الحسين بن سعيد بن عثمان: القرشي، ذكر الشيخ في ترجمة الحسين بن مخارق (229) رواية أحمد بن محمد بن سعيد (ابن عقدة) عن أحمد بن الحسين بن سعيد، أبي عبد الله، عن أبيه، عن الحسين بن مخارق، والظاهر أن المراد بالحسين بن سعيد، فيها: هو الحسين بن سعيد بن عثمان، بقرينة تكنية ابنه بأبي عبد الله، ورواية ابن عقدة، عنه. وقد تقدم في ترجمة أحمد، أنه المكنى بأبي عبد الله وأن راوي كتابه: أحمد بن محمد بن سعيد. راجع ترجمة أحمد بن الحسين بن سعيد.
