“If there are no people on the earth except two, one of them will the imam.”

“I heard Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) saying: No, by Allah! Allah does not leave this matter aside unless He specifies ones, who will undertake it until the Day of Resurrection.”

I asked Muhammad Ibn Uthman Amari to deliver a letter of mine, in which I had asked about some queries that had baffled me. The answer in the handwriting of our Master the Patron of the House came stating, “As for Muhammad Ibn Uthman Amari, may Allah be pleased with him and his father before him: he has my full trust and his letter is my letter.”

“The oppressor presumed that they would kill me and cut off this progeny. So how did they witness the might of Allah?” Then he named him Muammal (the one in whom hopes rest).

When Amirul Mo’mineen (as) was paid homage as the caliph after Uthman had been killed, he ascended the minbar and made a speech. He said: “Your affliction became as it had been when Allah had sent His messenger Muhammad (as). I swear by Him, Who has sent His messenger with the truth, that you will be confused and will be sifted until your notables become low and your lows become notable. Some of you, who have been indecent, will be virtuous and some, who have been virtuous, will be indecent. By Allah I have not hidden a truth nor have I told a lie. I have been inspired with this position and this day.”

“If your knowledge has been removed from among you, then expect deliverance to come soon.”

“Is the world left without an imam?” He replied: “No, it is not.”

“Allah does not accept to appoint to it (the Imamate) two brothers after Hasan and Husain (a.s).”

“Know your imam because if you know him, it does not harm you whether deliverance comes soon or late.”

“If you are informed that your man has disappeared, do not deny that.” The same was narrated by Muhammad bin Ya’qoob from Ali bin Ibraheem bin Hashim from Muhammad bin Abu Omayr from Abu Ayyoob al-Khazzaz from Muhammad bin Muslim.

“If the imam is removed from on the earth for an hour, it will sink with its people and will surge like the sea.”

I asked Imam ar-Redha (as): “Is the world left without an imam?” He said: “No, it is not.” I said: “We narrate traditions saying that it does not remain without an imam except if Allah becomes angry with the people.” He said: “It does not remain without an imam, otherwise it sinks.”

“Allah does not leave the world without a jurisprudent (imam); otherwise the truth is not distinguished from the untruth.”

H 313 - Muhammad bin Yaqub Kulaini said: An epistle was issued from Imam Mahdi (a.s) to Amari, which is quite lengthy and we have shortened it. It is mentioned in that epistle as follows: “We are aloof from Ibn Hilal, to whom Almighty Allah may never have mercy on and we are aloof from all those who don’t express their disdain about him. Thus inform Ishaqi and his townspeople and all those from you who have asked about him or who ask about the following matter, which I am informing you of.”

I said to Abu Abdullah, "May I be sacrificed for you, when will the relief (al-Faraj) come?" He replied, "O Aba Basir, are you among those who desire this world? Whoever understands this matter has already found relief by awaiting it."

“After Husain (a.s), there will be nine Imams. The ninth of them is their Qaim.”

“Al-Qa’im will rise and he has never paid any homage to anyone nor has he had a covenant or a bond with anyone.”

“Al-Qa’im will rise and he has not paid homage to any one nor has he had a bond or a covenant with anyone at all.” There are some traditions narrated from Imam Ali (as) confirming the occurrence of the disappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (aj). The traditions talk about confusion and seditions (that occur during the absence of al-Qa’im) that no one will be saved from except those, who will be patient before sufferings and distresses.

May Allah have mercy on you.’ I became very happy; he said, ‘May I not give you glad tidings about sneezing?’ I said: ‘Please do.’ He said: ‘It is protection from death for three days.”

Qambari, a descendant of Qambar senior, servant of Imam Ali Ridha (a.s): The incident of Ja’far, the liar was mentioned. Qambari scolded him and spoke against it. I asked: No one other than him is eligible for Imamate; have you seen someone else [Master of the Age (a.s)]? He replied: Not me, but someone else has. I asked: Who is that? He replied: Ja’far, and he saw him twice, and he is aware of it.
