2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan and Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the ring (insignia) of the Messenger of Allah, was made of leaf (dirham).’ I then asked if it had any stone, and he (the Imam) said, ‘No, it did not have a stone.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ وَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
كَانَ خَاتَمُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مِنْ وَرِقٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ كَانَ فِيهِ فَصٌّ قَالَ لَا .

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from abu Shu’ayb al-Mahamili from Durust ibn abu Mansur from Burayd ibn Mu‘awiya from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), who said the following
“People are not accountable before Allah to know. It is up to Allah to make them know. Once Allah makes them know then people are responsible for accepting (their duties).”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْمَحَامِلِيِّ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لَيْسَ لله عَلَى خَلْقِهِ أَنْ يَعْرِفُوا وَلِلْخَلْقِ عَلَى الله أَنْ يُعَرِّفَهُمْ وَلله عَلَى الْخَلْقِ إِذَا عَرَّفَهُمْ أَنْ يَقْبَلُوا.

Hadith.649 - Al-Fudail ibn Yasar, Zurarah ibn A'yan, Bukayr ibn A'yan, Muhammad ibn Muslim, and Burayd ibn Muawiyah al-Ijli narrated from Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) and Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), who said
"The time for Dhuhr (noon) prayer is after the sun's decline (from its zenith) by two feet (shadows), and the time for Asr (afternoon) prayer is after that by two feet (shadows)”.
649 - وَ رَوَى اَلْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ وَ زُرَارَةُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ وَ بُكَيْرُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ وَ بُرَيْدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ اَلْعِجْلِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ وَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ أَنَّهُمَا قَالاَ
«وَقْتُ اَلظُّهْرِ بَعْدَ اَلزَّوَالِ قَدَمَانِ وَ وَقْتُ اَلْعَصْرِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَدَمَانِ.

I have heard Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) saying: “The Prophet (S) has said: “Whoever dies without knowing his imam, dies as an unbeliever.”
6 - أخبرنا أحمد بن محمد بن سعيد قال: حدثنا علي بن الحسن من كتابه قال: حدثنا العباس بن عامر، عن عبد الملك بن عتبة، عن معاوية بن وهب قال
سمعت أبا عبد الله يقول: قال رسول الله: مَن مات لا يعرف إمامَه مات ميتة جاهليّة.

Hadith.2617 - Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar narrated from Abu Abdullah (as), who said
"Do not wear a garment with buttons while you are in the state of Ihram unless you wear it inside out. Do not wear a garment that is worn like a tunic (tadarru’), nor trousers (sarawil), unless you have no loincloth (izar). Do not wear leather slippers (khuffayn) unless you have no sandals (na'lan)."
2617 - وَ رَوَى مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
«لاَ تَلْبَسْ ثَوْباً لَهُ أَزْرَارٌ وَ أَنْتَ مُحْرِمٌ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَنْكُسَهُ وَ لاَ ثَوْباً تَدَرَّعُهُ وَ لاَ سَرَاوِيلَ إِلاَّ أَنْ لاَ يَكُونَ لَكَ إِزَارٌ وَ لاَ خُفَّيْنِ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَكَ نَعْلاَنِ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from ‘Amr ibn ‘Akramah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Every forty houses from the front, back, right and left are neighbors. ’”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) كُلُّ أَرْبَعِينَ دَاراً جِيرَانٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid and al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn al-‘Urwah from Burayd ibn Mu‘awiyah who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), ‘When the redness disappears from this side, that is, from the east, it is proof that it is sunset in the east and west.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَالْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا غَابَتِ الْحُمْرَةُ مِنْ هَذَا الْجَانِبِ يَعْنِي مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَقَدْ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ شَرْقِ الأرْضِ وَغَرْبِهَا.

2. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu‘awiya ibn Hakim from Nu‘aym al-Qabusi from abu al-Hassan (a.s.) who has said the following.
“My son, Ali is the eldest of my sons and the most virtuous among them to me and the most beloved of them to me. He looks into the Jafr (a secret source of knowledge) with me. No one looks into it except a prophet or the executor of the will of a prophet.”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُكَيْمٍ عَنْ نُعَيْمٍ الْقَابُوسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام)
أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ ابْنِي عَلِيّاً أَكْبَرُ وُلْدِي وَأَبَرُّهُمْ عِنْدِي وَأَحَبُّهُمْ إِلَيَّ وَهُوَ يَنْظُرُ مَعِي فِي الْجَفْرِ وَلَمْ يَنْظُرْ فِيهِ إِلا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ وَصِيُّ نَبِيٍّ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘ Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Everything that originates from the sea but is found on land and in the sea, should not be killed by those who are in the state of Ihram. If they kill such animals, they owe penalty as Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has said.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ يَكُونُ أَصْلُهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ وَيَكُونُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ فَلا يَنْبَغِي لِلْمُحْرِمِ أَنْ يَقْتُلَهُ فَإِنْ قَتَلَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ الْجَزَاءُ كَمَا قَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when you, by the will of Allah, enter al-Haram (the sacred area), take a shower upon your arrival; but if you take it before your arrival, then take a shower in Bi’r Maymun (name of a place) or in Fakhkh or in your lodging in Makkah.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
إِذَا انْتَهَيْتَ إِلَى الْحَرَمِ إِنْ شَاءَ الله فَاغْتَسِلْ حِينَ تَدْخُلُهُ وَإِنْ تَقَدَّمْتَ فَاغْتَسِلْ مِنْ بِئْرِ مَيْمُونٍ أَوْ مِنْ فَخٍّ أَوْ مِنْ مَنْزِلِكَ بِمَكَّةَ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Children must be carried for Tawaf and al-Jamar (pebbles) are thrown on their behalf.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a woman is ill and cannot understand she can be carried for Tawaf or Tawaf can be made on her behalf.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
الصِّبْيَانُ يُطَافُ بِهِمْ وَيُرْمَى عَنْهُمْ قَالَ وَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) إِذَا كَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مَرِيضَةً لا تَعْقِلُ يُطَافُ بِهَا أَوْ يُطَافُ عَنْهَا.

14. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is preferable to perform three hundred sixty Tawaf (each consisting of seven times walking around the Ka‘bah) equal to the number of days in a year. If you cannot do this, then you should walk three hundred sixty times around the Ka‘bah; and if you cannot do this much also, then do whatever you can.”
14ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
يُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ تَطُوفَ ثَلاثَمِائَةٍ وَسِتِّينَ أُسْبُوعاً عَدَدَ أَيَّامِ السَّنَةِ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَثَلاثَمِائَةٍ وَسِتِّينَ شَوْطاً فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَمَا قَدَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الطَّوَافِ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from Ibrahim ibn Maymun who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If you pay before going out for Salat (prayer) on ‘Id day it is al-Fitrah, but if you pay after you go out for ‘Id it then is charity.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) الْفِطْرَةُ إِنْ أَعْطَيْتَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَى الْعِيدِ فَهِيَ فِطْرَةٌ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَعْدَ مَا تَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْعِيدِ فَهِيَ صَدَقَةٌ.

12. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a new born on the night of al-Fitr; if there is al-Fitrah obligatory. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, al-Fitrah is not obligatory because the month is passed.’ I then asked, about a Jew who becomes a Muslim on the night of al-Fitr. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, al-Fitrah is not obligatory on him.’”
12ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ مَوْلُودٍ وُلِدَ لَيْلَةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَيْهِ فِطْرَةٌ قَالَ لا قَدْ خَرَجَ الشَّهْرُ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ يَهُودِيٍّ أَسْلَمَ لَيْلَةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَيْهِ فِطْرَةٌ قَالَ لا.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ’Perform the compensatory prayer for whatever of Salah (prayer) is missed during the day in day time and what is missed during the night in night time.’ I then asked, ’Can I perform the compensatory prayer for two al-Witr in one night?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, perform the compensatory prayer for al-Witr all the time.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) اقْضِ مَا فَاتَكَ مِنْ صَلاَةِ النَّهَارِ بِالنَّهَارِ وَمَا فَاتَكَ مِنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ بِاللَّيْلِ قُلْتُ أَقْضِي وَتْرَيْنِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ نَعَمِ اقْضِ وَتْراً أَبَداً.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Satan blows in the man’s buttocks to make him feel as if gas comes out. This does not invalidate Wudu’ unless one hears gas coming out or senses its smell.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْفُخُ فِي دُبُرِ الإِنْسَانِ حَتَّى يُخَيَّلَ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ قَدْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُ رِيحٌ فَلاَ يَنْقُضُ الْوُضُوءَ إِلاَّ رِيحٌ تَسْمَعُهَا أَوْ تَجِدُ رِيحَهَا.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn al-Husayn has narrated from Hakam ibn Miskin from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When a man is absent from his wife for one year or two years or more, then comes and wants to divorce her when she is experiencing Hayd (menses), he must leave her until she becomes clean, then divorce her.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
إِذَا غَابَ الرَّجُلُ عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ سَنَةً أَوْ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ ثُمَّ قَدِمَ وَ أَرَادَ طَلَاقَهَا وَ كَانَتْ حَائِضاً تَرَكَهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقُهَا .

5. Muhammad ibn Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Uthman from Isma‘il ibn Yasar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘My father has said, “When a person completes a day of optional fasting for the sake of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, Allah admits him in Paradise.’””
5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ أَبِي إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَصُومُ يَوْماً تَطَوُّعاً يُرِيدُ مَا عِنْدَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَيُدْخِلُهُ الله بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ.

17. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu‘awiyah ibn Hakim from abu Malik al-Hadramiy from Jamil ibn Darraj who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about my sending a dog to hunt and after mentioning the name of Allah, when I have nothing with me to slaughter the prey. He (the Imam) said, ‘Allow the dog to kill the prey, then you can use it for food.’”

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أُرْسِلُ الْكَلْبَ وَ أُسَمِّي عَلَيْهِ فَيَصِيدُ وَ لَيْسَ مَعِي مَا أُذَكِّيهِ بِهِ قَالَ دَعْهُ حَتَّى يَقْتُلَهُ وَ كُلْ .

Muavieh ibn Vahaeb narrated that Imam Sadiq (a.s) said
“Act justly and avoid what is not useful for you. Avoid your enemies. Avoid your friends- whatever tribe they belong to- unless they are trustworthy. No one is really trustworthy unless he fears God. Do not associate with evil-doers, and do not inform them of your secrets. Consult those who fear their Lord regarding your affairs.”
عن معاوية بن وهب قال
سمعت أبا عبد الله (عليه السلام) يقول: قم بالحق، واعتزل ما لا يعنيك، وتجنب عدوك، احذر صديقك من الأقوام إلا الأمين ولا أمين إلا من خشي الله، ولا تصحب الفاجر ولا تطلعه على سرك، واستشر في أمرك الذين يخشون ربهم.
