“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful to use a garments which are made of al-Qazz if its warp or weft is of cotton or kattan (linen, the fibers of certain plants).”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that people should be informed to attend the funeral of a deceased person.”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about Cheetah and predator birds; if business could be sought with them. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is possible.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One who fasts on a journey because of ignorance is not required to complete its Qada’ (compensatory fast)/”

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “How should one say Salām to the people of the graves?” Imam (a.s.) replied: Recite (the following): Salām upon the people of the graves from among the believers and the Muslims. May Allāh’s Mercy be upon those of you who died long ago and those of you who died recently. We shall join you In-Shā`allāh. The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated through the following chain: (Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad) Al-Barqi, from his father, from Naďr ibn Suwayd, from Qāsim ibn Sulaymān, from Jarrāḥ Al-Madā`ini, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).

Messenger of Allah (SA) said: Do not hit your children because of their crying. Verily, during the first four months, their cry is bearing witness that there is no god but Allah. During the next four months, when they cry they are sending their blessings upon the Prophet and His Progeny (AS). And during the next four months, they are praying for their parents.

9. Al-Qasim ibn al-‘Ala’ has said the following. “Several boys were born to me and each time I would write and request for prayer. Nothing would have been written to me about them. They all died. When my son al-Hassan was born I wrote and requested for prayer. The answer came, “He lives and all praise belongs to Allah.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not wear on your hand a ring of gold.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Applying lime paste is a protective charm and purification (for the body).”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Curb the heat of fever with viola oil.’”

“I heard Abā ʿAbdillāh (a) say, ‘Verily the believer will be given, on the Day of Judgment, an opened scroll in which will be written: “[This is] a decree of Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. Admit so-and-so into Paradise.”’”

"If a free man divorces a bondwoman and she completes part of her waiting period (ʿiddah) while still a slave and then she is freed, she must complete the waiting period according to the rules of a bondwoman."

“Whoever does not feel any concern about the affairs of Muslims is not a Muslim any longer.”

Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "He who does not have mercy on our young ones, and shows no reverence to our old ones and does not recognize our rights, is not from us."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Applying eye powder to one’s eyes is beneficial to the eyes and it is beautification during the day.’”

“A believer asks Allah for help but does not envy, and a hypocrite envies, but does not ask Allah for help.”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “A believer making profit from another believer is like one who is taking usury.”

“Once abu al-Hassan (a.s.), came out and I felt the fragrance of incense from him (the Imam).”’

Hadith.1793 - Iys ibn al-Qasim asked Abu Abdullah (Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as)) about someone who does not fast the three days of every month and finds fasting difficult. Is there a compensation for this? Imam (as) said: "A mudd (a measure) of food for each day."

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘One who is not vigilant and protective, his heart is upside down.’”
