Imam Ali (AS) said, Charity given in secret expiates wrongdoings and charity given openly is a means of increasing wealth.

Imam al-Baqir (AS) said, 'Verily the first thing to be rewarded on the Day of Resurrection will be the giving of water.

hadith 552
1. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “
Sadaqah given during day dissolves sins like water dissolves salt. Giving Sadaqah at night cools the anger of the Lord.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَمِیلَهَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ [قَالَ]
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ صَدَقَهُ النَّهَارِ تُمِیتُ الْخَطِیئَهَ کَمَا یُمِیتُ الْمَاءُ الْمِلْحَ وَ صَدَقَهُ اللَّیْلِ تُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ.

31-246 According to the same documentation, the Prophet (S) said, “I forgo the alms-tax on horses and slaves.”

Hadith.1735 - The Prophet (sw), peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: "Charity given in secret extinguishes the wrath of the Lord (azj), majestic and exalted is He."

hadith 96
1. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from ‘Abd al-‘Ala’ who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Providing all Benevolent Assistance is charity, and the best charity is a charity provided from an affluent condition. You must begin with your dependents. The upper hand is better than the lower hand. Allah does not blame one for moderation.”’
1ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَأَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ صَدَقَةٌ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَلا يَلُومُ الله عَلَى الْكَفَافِ.

Hadith.1722 - Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said: "The first thing to be rewarded in the Hereafter is the charity of providing water."

Hadith.1682 - Imam (as) said: "Every act of kindness is charity, and the one who guides towards goodness is like the one who performs it. Allah (swt) loves the relief of the distressed."

Hadith.3672 - Abu Al-Bakhtari narrated from Abu Abdillah (as) who said
"Helping a deaf person to hear without annoyance is a pleasant charity."
3672 - وَ رَوَى أَبُو اَلْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"لَإِسْمَاعُ اَلْأَصَمِّ مِنْ غَيْرِ ضَجَرٍ صَدَقَةٌ هَنِيئَةٌ".

hadith 1725
The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Hospitality towards a guest is incumbent for the first day, the second day and the third day. After that, anything you give him is considered as charity towards him on your behalf.
رسولُ اللهِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): الضِّيافَةُ أوَّلُ يَومٍ والثاني والثالثُ، وما بعدَ ذلكَ فإنّها صَدَقةٌ تَصَدّق بها علَيهِ.

15. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “The Sadaqah given at the time of prosperity is the best Sadaqah.”
وَ عَنْ أَبِی نَهْشَلٍ عَمَّنْ ذَکَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَهِ صَدَقَهٌ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًی.

hadith 596
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘Verily charity given at night [i.e. secretly in the dark of the night] extinguishes the wrath of the Lord, wipes away grave sins and facilitates ones account [on the Day of Resurrection]. Charity given during the day [in broad daylight] makes ones wealth thrive and increases ones lifespan.
الإمامُ الصّادقُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): إنّ صَدَقَةَ الليلِ تُطفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ، وتَمحُو الذَّنبَ العَظيمَ، وتُهَوِّنُ الحِسابَ، وصَدَقةَ النَّهارِ تُثمِرُ المالَ، وتَزِيدُ في العُمرِ .

The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘The best form of charity is charity with ones tongue through which lives are spared, adversities repelled, and benefits attracted towards ones Muslim brother.
رسولُ اللهِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): إنَّ أفضَلَ الصَّدَقةِ صَدَقةُ اللِّسانِ، تَحقُنُ بهِ الدِّماءَ، وتَدفَعُ بهِ الكَريهَةَ، وتَجُرُّ المَنفَعةَ إلى أخيكَ المُسلِمِ.
