Hadith 552

1. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “
Sadaqah given during day dissolves sins like water dissolves salt. Giving Sadaqah at night cools the anger of the Lord.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَمِیلَهَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ [قَالَ]
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ صَدَقَهُ النَّهَارِ تُمِیتُ الْخَطِیئَهَ کَمَا یُمِیتُ الْمَاءُ الْمِلْحَ وَ صَدَقَهُ اللَّیْلِ تُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ.
