The Messenger of Allah (s) said: `Ammar b. Yasir is not given a choice between two things except that he chooses the more challenging of them.

I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, say: "As if I am at the Pool (Kawthar) seeing those who arrive at me; and there are some who are pushed away from me, so I say: My Lord! (these are) my companions, my companions!" Then the voice says: "You do not know what they did after you. They continued to renege, by turning back on their heels."

Once ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) came upon the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, seeking permission to enter, but he did not permit. So, he sought permission once again and the Prophet peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "Enter, O ‘Ali." When ‘Ali entered, the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, stood up, embraced him and kissed him between the eyes and said: "May my father be ransom for the martyr; may my father be ransom for the lonely martyr."

“God’s Prophet (MGB) never stopped saying two forms of prayers in public or in private : one was saying two units of prayers after the afternoon prayer, and the other one was saying two units of prayers before the morning prayer.”

I swear by God who will take away his soul (i.e. the Prophet’s soul), the Prophet (MGB) never stopped saying those two units of prayers until he (MGB) went to meet the Honorable the Exalted God (perished), except for when he (MGB) was ill and could not say the prayers in a standing position. He said most of his prayers in a standing position.’ I asked her, ‘However, when Umar was in power, he admonished against these prayers.’ She said, ‘You are right. However, God’s Prophet (MGB) never said these prayers in the mosque, since he (MGB) feared that this might place a burden on his nation. Thus, he preferred to hide this from them.’”

Fatima (sa) was walking, and her walk was like the walk of the Messenger of Allah (s). So, the Prophet (s) said: Greetings, daughter. Then, he sat her down to his right or his left. Then, he whispered a saying to her, and she wept. Then, he whispered a saying to her, and she laughed. So, I said to her: The Messenger of Allah said something to you, and you wept, then he said something to you, and you laughed. I have not seen a grief that was so close to laughter until today. She asked her about what he said. So, she said: I would not disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah (s). When he passed away, I asked her, and she said: He whispered to me and said: “Surely, Gabriel would review the Quran with me one time annually. This year, he reviewed it with me twice. I do not see this except [as a foretelling of] my death. Surely, you will be the first of my Ahl al-Bayt to follow me – and what a blessed predecessor do you have in me. So, she wept at that. Then, he said: Are you not pleased with being the Mistress of the Women of this Nation – rather, the Women of the Believers [altogether]? So, she laughed at that.

Ali is the Master of the Arabs. So I said: O Allah’s Messenger, are you not the Master of the Arabs? He said: I am the Master of the sons of Adam, and Ali is the Master of the Arabs. I said: And what is a Master? He said: The one to whom obedience is made obligatory, like how obedience to me is made obligatory.

I was at the place of the Prophet, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, and then Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, approached, and he said: This is the Master of the Arabs. Then I said: O Allah’s Messenger, are you not the Master of the Arabs? He said: I am the Master of the sons of Adam, and Ali is the Master of the Arabs. I said: And what is a Master? He said: The one to whom obedience is made obligatory, like how obedience to me is made obligatory.

I was with the Messenger of Allah (s) and `Ali b. Abi Talib came forward. So, he said: This is the Master of the Arabs. So, I said: O Messenger of Allah! Are you not the Master of the Arabs? He said: I am the Master of the Children of Adam, and `Ali is the Master of the Arabs. So, I said: What is a Master? He said: One to whom obedience is made obligatory; just as obedience to me was made obligatory.

You will get the reward of freeing a slave, sacrificing a hundred camels and carrying the load on a hundred horses in the way of Allah for each fast. When Yaum-e-Tarweeya (8th Zilhajj) arrives you will get the reward of freeing a thousand slaves, sacrificing a thousand camels and carrying load in the way of Allah on a thousand horses. You will get the reward of freeing two thousand slaves, sacrificing two thousand camels and carrying load in the way of Allah on two thousand horses for the fast of the day of Arafah. All these are compensation for the sins of sixty years before and after it, in your life.”

I heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: I am the master of the former and the latter peoples. `Ali b. Abi Talib is the Master of Deputies. He is my brother, my inheritor, and my vicegerent (khalifa) over my Nation. His wilaya is obligatory. Following him is a virtue. Loving him is a way to Allah. His party is the Party of Allah, his Shi`a are the supporters of Allah, his friends are the friends of Allah, and his enemies are the enemies of Allah. He is the Imam of the Muslims, the Master of the Believers and their emir after me.
