And among them Ahmad Ibn Hilal Karkhi:

24 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Mihrān, al-Karkhī, Abū Jaʿfar. A ghālī, weak, a liar. He has a book regarding the notables and the defamed that gives evidence upon his filth and his lying.

Hadith.1294 - Ibrahim al-Karkhi said: "I said to Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as): "I am able to face the Qiblah (direction of prayer) while in the mahmil (a covered mount or carrier)." He (as) replied: "Is this restriction (truly necessary) ? Do you not have in the Messenger of Allah (sw) an example to follow?"

Everything in this book that is narrated from Ibrahim ibn Abi Ziyad Al-Karkhi has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah, from Ayyub ibn Nuh, from Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umayr, from Ibrahim ibn Abi Ziyad Al-Karkhi.

I purchased a bondwoman for Abu Abdillah (as). When I was about to pay them, I said: "I will try to get a discount from them." Imam (as) said: "No, indeed the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) forbade seeking a discount after the deal has been concluded."

“I once asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about a man for al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) who arrives but does not have any animal for offering with him; if he can fast before the time to slaughter the offering. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must wait until the day of al-Nahr (slaughtering the offering, 10th of Dhu al- Hajjah); and if he did not find any animal for offering, then he is of ‘those who cannot find’ (2:196) an animal for offering.’” (Fatwa best explains Hadith 3-16 of this Chapter)

“I once bought a slave-girl for abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), and went to get dirhams and I asked him (the Imam), ‘Can I ask to reduce the price ? 5 He (the Imam) said, ‘No, because the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited asking for reduction after the deal is finalized.’”

“O Aba Harun! Whoever fasts for ten consecutive years during the month of Ramazan shall enter Paradise.”

66-37 I heard Aba Nasr Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan al-Karkhi al-Katib say, “These verses are written on the grave of De’bel al-Khoza’ee: Prepared De’bel for the Day on which to meet God‘There is no god but God.’He testified to it with sincerityHoping forgiveness from God in the HereafterGod is his Master and nextComes the Prophet and his Trustees.the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds” [Qur’an, 78:18]

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘There are three things whose performer is condemned: Defecating in recreational places, blocking allocated water and public roads.’”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Three things are condemned and condemned are those who perform them: Defecating in recreational places, blocking allocated water and blocking public roads.’”

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “When a man enters a town he is the guest of those who live there of the people of his religion until he leaves that town.’”

I heard Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, say: The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, cursed the wasila and the mustawsila, meaning the female fornicator and the female procurer.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, would drink water in bowls from Syria that were brought from there and given as gifts to him (the Messenger of Allah). 5 ”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Three characteristics subject one to condemnation: Defecating in the shadows which are used as rest areas, obstructing people from reaching water for public use or public road.”

I said to Abu Abdillah (as), "What do you say about a man who buys the wool of one hundred sheep and what is in their wombs in terms of pregnancy for such-and-such amount of dirhams?" Imam (as) said: "There is no harm in that. If there is no pregnancy in their wombs, then his capital is in the wool."

I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a man who took a piece of land or a house as collateral (rahn) for his money, and both the land and the house produced abundant yield. Imam (as) said: "It is upon the one who took the land and the house as collateral for his money to calculate what he has taken from the yield and deduct it from the debt owed to him."

I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a man who owns a large estate, and when the festivals of Mehregan and Nayrouz arrive, people gift him items, not as an obligation, but to seek closeness to him. Imam (as) said: "Are they not Muslims?" I said: "Yes." Imam (as) said: "Then let him accept their gifts and reciprocate them."

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about a man who is in Masjid in Salah (prayer) and wants to spit away. He (the Imam) said, ‘He can do it toward his left and if he is not in Salah (prayer); he must not do so in front of al-Qiblah (al-Ka‘bah) but do so toward his left or right sides.’”

Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will spread His mercy to the point where Iblis will hope for His mercy.
