الخيراني: روى عن أبيه، وروى عنه الحسين بن محمد. الكافي: الجزء 1، كتاب الحجة 4، باب الإشارة والنص على أبي جعفر الثاني عليه السلام 73، الحديث 13. ورواها في باب حالات الأئمة عليهم السلام في السن 91، الحديث 6، من الكتاب. وروى عن أبيه، وروى عنه الحسين بن محمد، باب الإشارة والنص على أبي الحسن الثالث عليه السلام 74، الحديث 2، من الكتاب. أقول: تقدم في ترجمة أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى الأشعري رواية محمد بن يعقوب بسنده، عن الخيراني، عن أبيه. وفيها دلالة على مكرمة لأبيه، وذم لأحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، وقيل: إن أباه هو خيران مولى الرضا عليه السلام، ولكنه لم يثبت فالرواية ضعيفة، فإن الخيراني ووالده مجهولان.
