يحيى بن حبيب الزيات: روى محمد بن يعقوب، عن علي بن محمد، عن سهل بن زياد، عن محمد ابن الوليد، عن يحيى بن حبيب الزيات، قال: أخبرني من كان عند أبي الحسن الرضا عليه السلام جالسا، فلما نهضوا قال لهم: ألقوا أبا جعفر فسلموا عليه وأحدثوا به عهدا، فلما نهض القوم التفت إلي فقال: يرحم الله المفضل إنه كان ليقنع بدون هذا. الكافي: الجزء 1، كتاب الحجة 4، باب الإشارة والنص على أبي جعفر الثاني عليه السلام 73، الحديث 1. وعده ابن شهرآشوب من ثقات من روى النص عن الرضا على ابنه الجواد عليهما السلام. المناقب: الجزء 4، باب إمامة أبي جعفر محمد الجواد عليه السلام، في (فصل في المقدمات).
