يحيى الأكبر: قال الشيخ الحر في تذكرة المتبحرين (1066): " الشيخ أبو زكريا يحيى الأكبر بن الحسن بن سعيد الحلي: كان عالما، محققا، وهو جد المحقق نجم الدين جعفر بن الحسن بن يحيى، يروي عنه ولده، وعن ولده ولده ". وقال الشهيد عند ذكره: " الشيخ الأسعد العلامة المغفور له، رئيس المذهب في زمانه، نجيب الدين يحيى بن الحسن بن سعيد، صاحب الجامع وغيره ".
