وهب بن عبد الله الكلبي: عده ابن شهرآشوب من أصحاب الحسين عليه السلام، والمقاتلين بين يديه في واقعة الطف. قال: " وكانت أمه معه فلم يزل يقاتل حتى قتل منهم جماعة، ثم قال لامه: يا أماه أرضيت أم لا؟ قالت: ما أرضى أو تقتل بين يدي الحسين عليه السلام، فرجع فلم يزل يقاتل حتى قتل تسعة عشر فارسا، واثني عشر راجلا، ثم قطعت يمينه وأخذا أسيرا ". المناقب: الجزء 4، باب إمامة أبي عبد الله الحسين، فصل في مقتله عليه السلام.
