النجاشي الشاعر: من أصحاب علي عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (6). قال ابن شهرآشوب في المناقب: الجزء 3، باب النصوص على إمامة أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام، (فصل في حرب صفين): " وخرج كعب بن جعيل شاعر معاوية قائلا: أبرز إلى الآن يا نجاشي * وإنني ليث لدى الهراش فأجابه النجاشي شاعر علي عليه السلام، وبرز إليه: أربع قليلا فأنا النجاشي * لست أبيع الدين بالمعاش أنصر خير راكب وماشي * ذاك علي بين الرياش ".
