معمر بن راشد: روى عن الزهري، عن محمد بن مسلم بن شهاب، وروى عنه عبد الرزاق ابن همام. الكافي: الجزء 2، كتاب الايمان والكفر 1، باب ذم الدنيا والزهد فيها 61، الحديث 11. ورواها في باب حب الدنيا والحرص عليها 126، الحديث 8، من الكتاب، إلا أن فيه: الزهري، عن محمد بن مسلم بن عبيد الله. كذا في الطبعة القديمة والمرآة فيها، ولكن في الطبعة المعربة: كلمة (عن بعد الزهري فيهما غير موجودة، وهو الصحيح الموافق للوافي، فإن الزهري لقب لمحمد بن مسلم بن عبيد الله نفسه.
