مسروق: تقدم في ترجمة الحسن البصري عن الكشي أنه من الزهاد الثمانية، وأنه كان عشارا لمعاوية، ومات في عمله ذلك بموضع أسفل من واسط على دجلة يقال له الرسافة وقبره هناك، وعن الطبري في مسترشده أنه أوصى أن يدفن مع مقابر اليهود.
