محمد بن موسى بن جعفر: عليهما السلام، قال الشيخ المفيد - قدس سره -: " وكان محمد بن موسى من أهل الفضل والصلاح، أخبرني أبو محمد الحسن بن يحيى، قال: حدثني جدي، قال: حدثتني هاشمية مولاة رقية بنت موسى، قالت: كان محمد بن موسى صاحب وضوء وصلاة، وكان ليله كله يتوضأ ويصلي، فيسمع سكب الماء، ثم يصلي ليلا، ثم يهدأ ساعة فيرقد ويقوم، فيسمع سكب الماء والوضوء، ثم يصلي ليلا، فلا يزال كذلك حتى يصبح، وما رأيته قط إلا ذكرت قول الله تعالى: " كانوا قليلا من الليل ما يهجعون) ". الارشاد: باب ذكر عدد أولاده وطرف من أخباره (موسى بن جعفر عليهما السلام)، الحديث 2.
