محمد بن القاسم بن المثنى: قال الشيخ (674): " محمد بن القاسم بن المثنى: له كتاب، رويناه بهذا الاسناد، عن حميد، عن أحمد بن ميثم، عنه ". وأراد بهذا الاسناد: جماعة، عن أبي المفضل، عن حميد. قال السيد التفريشي (657): " ويحتمل أن يكون هذا والذي سيجئ بعنوان محمد بن المثنى بن القاسم واحدا ". (إنتهى). أقول: ما احتمله - قدس الله نفسه - هو الظاهر، وذلك لوحدة الطريق واقتصار الشيخ على هذا، واقتصار النجاشي على الآتي، والله العالم. فكيف كان، فطريق الشيخ إليه ضعيف بأبي المفضل.
