محمد بن علي بن محي الدين: قال الشيخ الحر في أمل الآمل (177): " محمد بن علي بن محي الدين الموسوي العاملي: كان عالما، فاضلا، أديبا، ماهرا، شاعرا، محققا، عارفا بفنون العربية والفقه، وغيرهما، من المعاصرين، تولى قضاء المشهد الشريف بطوس، قرأ عند السيد بدر الدين الحسيني العاملي المدرس، وعند السيد حسين بن محمد ابن علي بن أبي الحسن الموسوي شيخ الاسلام، وغيرهما، له كتاب شرح شواهد ابن المصنف كبير، حسن التحقيق، ويرد فيه أقوال العيني كثيرا، وله شعر قليل لا يحضرني منه شئ ".
