محمد بن عبد الله الطاهري: من أصحاب الرضا عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (48). وعده البرقي من أصحاب الهادي عليه السلام، قائلا: " محمد بن عبد الله الطاهري، من أهل طاهر ". روى الصدوق - قدس سره - عن أبيه، عن سعد بن عبد الله، عن محمد ابن عيسى بن عبيد، قال: إن محمد بن عبد الله الطاهري كتب إلى الرضا عليه السلام يشكو عمه بعمل السلطان، والتلبس به، وأمر وصيته في يديه، فكتب عليه السلام: أما الوصية فقد كفيت أمرها، فاغتم الرجل، وظن أنها تؤخذ منه، فمات بعد ذلك بعشرين يوما. العيون: الجزء 2، الباب 47، في دلالات الرضا عليه السلام، الحديث 2. أقول: محمد بن عبد الله هذا مجهول، وهو غير محمد بن عبد الله بن طاهر المتقدم.
