محمد بن شمعون: (شمون) النجاشي: من أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (168). ثم إن في نسخة الرجال بعد كلمة (النجاشي) جملة (اسم أبي سماك) وهذه الجملة لا معنى لها، ومن المظنون أن في العبارة تقديما وتأخيرا، فقد ذكر بعد ذلك محمد بن سمعان بن هبيرة النجاشي الأسدي، وكان الصحيح هكذا: محمد بن أبي السماك، واسم أبي السماك سمعان بن هبيرة... إلخ، والله العالم. ثم إن الوحيد - قدس سره - جزم باتحاده مع محمد بن الحسن بن شمون المتقدم، ولكن الامر على خلافه، فإن هذا من أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام، وذاك من أصحاب الهادي عليه السلام، فكيف يمكن اتحادهما.
