محمد بن سليمان النوفلي: روى عن موسى بن جعفر عليهما السلام، وروى عنه ابنه علي. العيون: الجزء 1، الباب 7، في جمل من أخبار موسى بن جعفر عليهما السلام، الحديث 10. وذكر في الرواية سعاية علي بن يعقوب إلى عيسى بن جعفر في محمد بن سليمان، وكتب إليه إنك تقدم علينا محمد بن سليمان في اذنك وإكرامك وتخصه بالمسك، وفينا من هو أسن منه، وهو يدين بطاعة موسى بن جعفر، المحبوس عندك، ويأتي له ذكر في ترجمة هشام بن الحكم.
