مثنى أبو محمد: روى عن عثمان بن زيد، وروى عنه محمد ابنه تفسير القمي: سورة الفرقان، في تفسير قوله تعالى: (أنظر كيف ضربوا لك الأمثال فضلوا فلا يستطيعون سبيلا). كذا في الطبعة القديمة، ولكن في الطبعة الحديثة: محمد بن المستنير، بدل محمد بن المثنى، والصحيح ما في الطبعة القديمة الموافق لتفسير البرهان. أقول: الظاهر اتحاده مع مثنى (بن) الحضرمي الآتي، فإن ابنه محمد.
