فخار بن معد: قال الشيخ الحر في تذكرة المتبحرين (646): " السيد شمس الدين فخار ابن معد بن فخار الموسوي الحائري، كان عالما، فاضلا، أديبا، محدثا، له كتب منها كتاب الرد على الذاهب إلى تكفير أبي طالب، حسن جيد، وغير ذلك، يروى عنه المحقق، ويروي هو عن أبن إدريس الحلي، وعن شاذان بن جبرئيل القمي، وغيرهما ".
