عمر بن فرات: كاتب، بغدادي، غال، من أصحاب الرضا عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (49). قال الشيخ تقي الدين إبراهيم الكفعمي: كان عمر بن فرات بوابا للرضا عليه السلام. المصباح: الفصل 42، في ذكر الشهور الاثني عشر والنبي والأئمة الاثني عشر صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين، ص 523. أقول: لو ثبت ذلك لم تكن فيه دلالة على الحسن فضلا عن الوثاقة. ثم إن ابن داود في (360) من القسم الثاني، قال: " عمر بن فرات الكاتب (ضا) (جخ) بغدادي، غال (كش) ذو مناكير " (إنتهى). أقول: لم يتعرض الكشي لذلك، فما ذكره إنما هو من سهو القلم أو غلط النساخ.
