علي بن محمد الجزري: قال الشيخ الحر في أمل الآمل (135): " الشيخ علي بن محمد الجزري العاملي الشامي: فاضل، شاعر، أديب، ذكره الباخرزي في دمية القصر، وأثنى عليه، ونسبه إلى الغلو في التشيع، وذكر أنه لازم قبر معاوية سنة كاملة، وكان يتغوط على قبره، ويظهر التبرك به للناس، ولما خاف أن يشعروا به، هرب ".
