علي بن الحسين السلمي: روى عن علي بن أسباط، وروى عنه أحمد بن محمد العاصمي. الكافي: الجزء 4، باب الوقوف بعرفة من كتاب الحج 165، الحديث 9. ولكن الشيخ رواها، عن محمد بن يعقوب، عن أحمد بن محمد العاصمي، عن علي بن الحسن النيملي، عن علي بن أسباط. التهذيب: الجزء 5، باب الغدو إلى عرفات، الحديث 617. أقول: الظاهر أن ما في التهذيب هو الصحيح.
