عبد المطلب بن محمد: قال الشيخ الحر في تذكرة المتبحرين (484): " السيد عميد الدين عبد المطلب بن محمد بن علي بن الأعرج الحسيني: فاضل من مشايخ الشهيد. قال في إجازته لابن نجدة عند ذكره: المولى السعيد الامام المرتضى علم الهدى شيخ أهل البيت في زمانه عميد الحق والدين... ثم ذكر أنه يروي عنه عن العلامة، له شرح تهذيب الأصول وغير ذلك. وقال ابن معية عند ذكر روايته عنه: درة الفخر فريدة الدهر، مولانا الامام الرباني...، وأثنى عليه وبالغ فيه وهو ابن أخت العلامة ".
