عبد الله

The greater pilgrimage is the Day of Adha.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about al-Adha’; if it is obligatory on one who can afford for himself and his family. He (the Imam) said, ‘For one’s self, it must not be ignored; and for one’s family, if he likes, he may ignore.’”

“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), that I drove the offering animal and performed al- Qiran al-Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘Why did you not perform al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) which is more virtuous?’ He (the Imam) then said, ‘It is sufficient for you in it to perform one Tawaf around the House and one Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Perform Tawaf around al-Ka‘bah on the day of sacrifice.’” (The rest of Ahadith in this as well as the following Chapters are best explained in the form of fatwa).

The greater pilgrimage is the day of slaughter [1].

The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: It should not be sacrificed, on the (Eid of) Adha, with a the lame whose lameness is obvious, nor with the half-blind whose half-blindedness is obvious, nor with the shrunken, nor with the scabby, nor with the jad’aa’, nor with the ‘adhbaa’, that is the one with a broken horn, and jad’aa’ is the one with a cut ear.

“We once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about al-Budn (camel), how to mark it, when the owner is required to assume the state of Ihram, which side is marked and is it slaughtered tied down or knelt down. He (the Imam) said, ‘Slaughter it tied down and mark it on its right side.’”

The greater pilgrimage is the Day of Adha.

“I asked Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB), ‘How many people would the offering of a cow or a camel be accepted from?’ The Imam (MGB) replied, ‘It would be accepted from seven people.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man for al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) who fasts for three days and on the day of departure finds an offering animal. He (the Imam) said, ‘His fast is sufficient.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about al-Budn, how it is marked. He (the Imam) said, ‘Mark it when tied down and slaughter it when it is standing. Mark it on its right side and its owner assumes the state of Ihram when something is placed around its neck or is marked.’”

"This refers to when they are positioned for sacrifice, and their forelegs are tied from the hooves to the knees, and their sides fall to the ground after they are slaughtered."

“Whoever goes on the Hajj pilgrimage thrice will never suffer from poverty.”

“Whoever goes on the Hajj pilgrimage twice would always be in good conditions until he dies.”

I said to Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, with regards to the saying of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «Then, let them end their tafath» (22:29). He said: It is to shave and what is in the skin of a person.

Hadith.3055 - It is narrated that Imam Abu Abdullah (as) disliked giving the meat of sacrificial animals to polytheists.

“This is about the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ’Pronounce the name of Allah on them while lined up. . . (22:36) He (the Imam) said that this is when they are lined up for slaughtering. When their front legs are tied down between the feet to the knees, and ’falling of their sides’ is a reference to their reaching the ground.’”

The known and the limited are one, and they are the days of the easternization.

Hadith.2576 - In a narration from Abdullah ibn Sinan, from Imam (as): "The camel is marked (Ish'ar) while it is restrained."

I said to Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him: Indeed, Allah has ordered me in His Book with an order, and I would like to know (the meaning of) it. He said: And what is that? I said: The saying of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «Then, let them end their tafath, and let them fulfill their vows» (22:29). He said: «let them end their tafath» is the meeting with the Imam, and «let them fulfill their vows» are those rites. Abdullah bin Sinan said: Then I came to Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, and I said: May Allah make me a sacrifice for you. The saying of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «Then, let them end their tafath, and let them fulfill their vows» (22:29)? He said: It is to take (some off) the mustache, cut the nails, and similar to that. He said: I said: May I be sacrificed for you, Dhuraih al-Muharibi told me of you that you, indeed, said to him that «Then, let them end their tafath» is the meeting with the Imam, and that «and let them fulfill their vows» are those rites. He said: Dhuraih spoke true, and you have spoken true. Indeed, for the Qur’an is an apparent meaning and an internal meaning. And who can handle like what Dhuraih handles?

I heard Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) ask Abil Abbas al-Baqbaq, ‘What prevented you from attending the pilgrimage?’ He replied, ‘The suretyship which I undertook.’ Baqbaq said, ‘What do you have to do with suretyship? Don’t you know that it was suretyship that destroyed previous nations?’”
