"It is incumbent upon the Imam to pray the Zuhr prayer in Mina, spend the night there, and remain until sunrise. Then, he should depart for Arafat."

"Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) used to make the paternal brother inherit alongside the grandfather, placing him in the same position as the grandfather."

I asked Imam (as) about the maternal siblings inheriting alongside the grandfather. Imam (as) said: "The prescribed share for the maternal siblings is one-third, even when the grandfather is present."

Abu Abdillah (as) about a man who married a bondwoman, and she gave birth to a child. Imam (as) said: "The child is attributed to his father." I asked: "What about a slave who marries a free woman?" Imam (as) said: "The child is attributed to his mother."

“All innovations are misguidance and all misguidance leads to Hell.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not cut off the spinal cord of the animal you slaughter before it dies; and when it dies, then you can cut off its spinal cord.’”

The free and slaves do not inherit each other.’”

I said to Abu Abdullah (as): "I appointed a specific loan (aynah) for a man, and it became due. I said to him, 'Repay me.' He said: 'I do not have it now, so specify another loan for me until I can repay you.'" Imam (as) said: "Specify it for him until he repays you."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Salah (prayer) for dead bodies are not performed wearing shoes, but it is not harmful to wear al-Khuff (slippers, socks).”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one who has expressed al-Zihar (calling one’s wife as one’s mother) about his wife, divorces her then expiation cancels out and it no more is applicable to his case.’” Ali ibn Ibrahim has said that if a man divorces his wife or takes his slave-girl out of his possession he then does not owe expiation of al-Zihar unless he goes back to his wife and returns his slave-girl into his possession. When he does so then it is not proper for him to go near them without paying the expiation.

"The best of your women is the one who, if she becomes angry or causes her husband to become angry, says to him, 'My hand is in your hand, and I will not rest until you are pleased with me.'"

"Whoever reaches the standing at Muzdalifah (Jam‘) on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) before the sun passes its zenith has indeed attained Hajj."

I said to Abu Abdullah (as), "What about a man who meets his brother while performing tawaf?" Imam (as) said: "He may leave with him to fulfill his need, then return and continue his tawaf from where he left off."

“Hold firmly to what We have given you” [The Holy Quran: Baqara 2:63], Does this “hold firmly” refer to the body or the soul?” Imam Sadiq (a.s) replied: “It refers to both.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that you must leave alone a borrower who has difficulty repaying a loan, just as Allah does (extend the due time for payment of loan if the borrower has difficulty repaying. . . ” (see (2:280)).

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The minimum amount of mahr (dower) in al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) can be even a handful of food.’ Certain ones of them have narrated that even a Miswak (toothbrush) is acceptable.”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about applying hair dye with woad. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful. At the time al-Husayn (a.s.), was murdered he had applied hair dye with woad. 5 ”

I heard Aba Abdillah عليه السلام say: may Allah curse Burayd! and may Allah curse Zurara!

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Holy Prophet prohibited using one’s right hand to wash one’s buttocks and urethra.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not sit down between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah unless you are very exhausted.’”
