“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whoever omits Qunut (supplication after recitation in second Rak‘at) in dislike his Salah (prayer) is not anything.’”

Hadith.2875 - Wahb ibn Abd Rabbih said to Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as): "Can a man perform Hajj on behalf of a Nasibi (one who harbors enmity toward the Ahlulbayt)?" Imam (as) replied: "No." I said: "What if it was my father?" Imam (as) said: "If it was your father, then perform Hajj on his behalf."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Extragance (overspending) is not applicable in food.’”

Is it permissible for him to nullify her Ihram and have intercourse with her before entering Ihram himself?" Imam (as) replied: "Yes."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Prepare food and make it unique; then invite your friends for it.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one says, “Allah knows”, when he does not know something, the Throne of Allah vibrates as a sign of expressing His greatness.”’

I saw Abu Abdillah (as) using a toothpick, so I looked at him. Imam (as) said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) used a toothpick, and it purifies the mouth."

Everything in this book that is narrated from Shihab ibn Abd Rabbih has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sad ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub, from Shihab ibn Abd Rabbih.

"She has no choice regarding the slave. She remains a slave belonging to the heirs."

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if al-Hajj can be performed on behalf of one hostile to ’A’immah. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it cannot be performed.’ I then asked, ‘Even if he is my father?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is your father it is permissible.’”

Whoever says "Allah knows" regarding something that he does not know, the Throne shakes out of the greatness of Allah.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Burial is delayed, unless there is a change, because of five kinds of reasons for death: Death because of drowning, sudden shock, internal (illness pain), crushed and smoke (fumigation).”’

“I once asked him (the Imam), ‘Is it permissible to wear a ring with a stone of Emerald?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is not harmful but during washing one’s self after using the toilet, one should remove it.’”

“I once saw abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), using toothpicks and I looked at him (the Imam). He (the Imam) said, ‘The Messenger of Allah would use a toothpick; it cleanses the mouth.’”

“Al-Rida (a.s.) sent a gift to my father and my father wrote to him, “Is there al-Khums on the gift you just sent to me?” He wrote back to him in answer, “There is no al-Khums on the gift that the recipient of al-Khums has sent to you.”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Can a man immerse his hands in the water container before washing them?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, he can do so, provided they have not touched any unclean substance.’”

Hadith.2370 - Shihab ibn Abd Rabbihi narrated: "I said to Abu Abdullah (as): 'I partake in Suhoor with chicks brought from outside Mecca, which are slaughtered in the Sacred Sanctuary, and I partake in Suhoor with them.' Imam (as) replied: 'What an evil Suhoor is your Suhoor! Do you not know that whatever you bring into the Sacred Sanctuary alive becomes forbidden for you to slaughter and to retain?'"

“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘When the sun changes, speak of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, and if there are people keeping you occupied, stand up and pray.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once said to me, ‘Even if you find enough reason to believe that this task (the rise of al-Qa’im with divine authority) will take place tomorrow, still you must not neglect work for a living. If you cannot complete the work do (what you can)”’

So everyone should fear Allāh, should admonish himself, should send forward his repentance and should overpower his desire, because his death is hidden from him, his desires deceive him and Satan is posted on him and he beautifies for him sin so that he may commit it and prompts him to delay repentance till his desires make him the most negligent. Piety is for the negligent person whose life itself would be a proof against him and his own days (passed in sin) would lead him to punishment.
