شديد بن عبد الرحمان: الأزدي الكوفي: من أصحاب الصادق (عليه السلام)، رجال الشيخ (21). وقال النجاشي في ترجمة ابن أخيه: " بكر بن محمد الأزدي: وهو بيت جليل بالكوفة من آل نعيم الغامديين ". وزيد بن يونس أبو أسامة الشحام، مولى شديد هذا، ذكره النجاشي في ترجمة زيد. أقول: إن كلام النجاشي، حيث ذكر أن بكر بن محمد من بيت جليل بالكوفة وأن شديدا وعبد السلام عمومته، ظاهر في أن شديدا وعبد السلام من مشاهير ذلك البيت، وهذا يكفي في الحكم بحسن شديد وعبد السلام، وابنه موسى. ثم إنه استدل بعضهم على حسن الرجل بما ذكره الكشي، عن حمدويه، عن أشياخه، أن حنان بن سدير واقفي، أدرك أبا عبد الله ولم يدرك أبا جعفر (عليهما السلام)، وكان يرتضي به شديدا، فقال: إن المراد به شديد بن عبد الرحمان! وفساده أوضح من أن يحتاج إلى بيان.
