زيد بن أسلم: العدوي، مولاهم، المدني، مولى عمر بن الخطاب، تابعي، كان يجالسه السجاد عليه السلام كثيرا، من أصحاب السجاد عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (5). وعده في أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام (22) قائلا: " زيد بن أسلم مولى عمر بن الخطاب المدني العدوي، فيه نظر ". وعده البرقي أيضا في أصحاب السجاد والصادق عليهما السلام. أقول: يبعد أن يكون من هو مولى عمر بن الخطاب قد أدرك الصادق عليه السلام، والظاهر أن قول الشيخ: فيه نظر ناظر إلى ذلك وأنه لم يثبت كونه من أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام وإن ذكره ابن عقدة منهم. وكيف كان لم يظهر لنا وجه عده في المعتمدين، كما فعله ابن داود (646) من القسم الأول. ومن الغريب أنه مع ذلك عده في غير المعتمدين أيضا (188) من القسم الثاني. روى عن عطاء بن يسار، وروى عنه ابنه عبد الرحمان. الكافي: الجزء 6، كتاب الأشربة 7، باب أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله حرم كل مسكر 21، الحديث 3.
