علي بن إسماعيل بن عيسى: روى عن حماد بن عيسى، وروى عنه عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري، ذكره الصدوق في المشيخة في طريقه إلى زرارة بن أعين، وحريز بن عبد الله، وحماد ابن عيسى. روى عن محمد بن عمرو بن سعيد الزيات، وروى عنه سعد بن عبد الله. كامل الزيارات: الباب 16 فيما نزل به جبرئيل عليه السلام في الحسين بن علي عليه السلام أنه سيقتل، الحديث 5. ثم إن الصدوق ذكر طريقه إلى حريز ثانيا منفصلا عن ذكر طريقه إليه عند ذكر طريقه إلى زرارة، وذكر فيه علي بن إسماعيل من دون تقييده بابن عيسى، وكذلك فعل عند بيان طريقه إلى إسحاق بن عمار، والراوي عنه في كلا الموردين عبد الله بن جعفر، فيظهر من ذلك أن علي بن إسماعيل في هذه الطبقة ينصرف إلى علي بن إسماعيل بن عيسى، فما ورد في روايات كثيرة في هذه الطبقة من ذكر علي بن إسماعيل، فالمراد به علي بن إسماعيل بن عيسى، والله العالم، وسيجئ الكلام في اتحاده مع علي بن السندي وعدمه.
