دينار، يكنى أبا سعيد: ولقبه عقيصا وإنما لقب بذلك لشعر قاله، من أصحاب علي عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (1). وعده في أصحاب الحسين عليه السلام (1) من دون ذكر اسمه. وكذلك ذكره البرقي في أصحاب علي عليه السلام، قائلا: أبو سعيد عقيصان من بني تيم الله بن ثعلبة، وفي أصحاب الحسين عليه السلام مقتصرا على قوله: أبو سعيد عقيصا. روى عن الحسين بن علي عليه السلام، وروى عنه فضيل الرسان. كامل الزيارات: الباب 23، في قول أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام في قتل الحسين وقول الحسين عليه السلام له في ذلك، الحديث 4.
