حيدر بن السيد علي: قال الشيخ الحر في أمل الآمل (77): " السيد حيدر بن السيد علي بن نجم الدين العاملي السكيكي: كان عالما، فاضلا، فقيها، صدوقا، شاعرا، أديبا، منشئا، حافظا، من المعاصرين، له إجازة عن أبيه عن الشيخ حسن بن الشهيد الثاني، رأيته بمكة المشرفة في الحجة الثانية سنة 1062، ومات بعدها بسنة أو سنتين بمكة ".
