الحسين بن مهران الكوفي: مولى، من أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (69). وهو أخو صفوان، فإن النجاشي قال في ترجمة صفوان بن مهران: " وأخواه الحسين ومسكين ". روى عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى عنه سهل بن اليسع. الفقيه: الجزء 4، باب الجراحات والقتل بين النساء، الحديث 287. وروى عن إسحاق بن غالب، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى عنه عبد الله بن عثمان. الكافي: الجزء 2، كتاب الايمان والكفر 1، باب سوء الخلق 129، الحديث 4.
