الحسين بن الحسن العاملي: قال الشيخ الحر في أمل الآمل (64): " الشيخ حسين بن الحسن العاملي المشغري: كان فاضلا، صالحا، جليل القدر، شاعرا، أديبا قرأ على شيخنا البهائي، وعلى الشيخ محمد بن الحسن ابن الشهيد الثاني. سافر إلى الهند ثم إلى أصفهان، ثم إلى خراسان وسكن بها حتى مات. وكان عمي الشيخ محمد بن علي بن محمد الحر العاملي المشغري يصف فضله، وعلمه، وفصاحته، وكرمه. رأيت جملة من كتبه منها كتاب النكاح من التذكرة وعليه خط شيخنا البهائي بالإجازة له. نروي عن عمي عنه ".
