Al-Qalanisi al-Kufi. Jamil ibn Darraj narrated this exact report from Salamah ibn Muhammad in one copy and from [Ibn] Mahraz in another... It appears the correct [name] is Salamah ibn Mahraz based on the unity of the narrator, the one narrated from, and the report, and God knows best.

سلمة بن محرز: من أصحاب الباقر عليه السلام، رجال الشيخ (7)، وعده في أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام (147)، (القلانسي الكوفي) مضيفا إلى العنوان. وعده البرقي مع تكنيته بأبي يحيى في أصحاب الباقر عليه السلام، ومن دون ذكر كنيته مع توصيفه بأنه كوفي عربي في أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام. روى عنه جميل بن دراج. الكافي: الجزء 7، كتاب ميراث الولد 14، الحديث 3. وروى عنه محمد بن زياد (ابن أبي عمير). التهذيب: الجزء 9، باب ميراث الأعمام والعمات، الحديث 1179. أقول: قد يقال بوثاقة الرجل لرواية جميل وابن أبي عمير عنه، ويرد عليه ما تقدم من أن رواية أمثال هؤلاء عن أحد لا يدل على وثاقته، وقد تعرضنا لذلك في الجملة في ترجمة خليد بن أوفى. طبقته في الحديث وقع في إسناد ثلاثة عشرة رواية. فقد روى عن أبي جعفر، وأبي عبد الله، عليهما السلام. وروى عنه أبو أيوب، وأبو أيوب الخزاز، وأبو المغراء، وجميل بن دراج، وعقبة بن مسلم، وعمار بن مروان، وعمرو بن مصعب، ومحمد بن زياد، ومحمد ابن سنان، وهشام بن سالم.
