4. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “The evil deed to be punished first is injustice.”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘The evil most quickly facing punishment is tyrannical transgression.’”

10. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates that Amirul Momineen (a.s.) said, “One of the greatest sins is to usurp the wealth of a believer unlawfully.”

15. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who oppresses someone and cannot meet the oppressed once again, he should do Istighfar (seek Allah’s forgiveness). It is atonement for the injustice done by him.”

3. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “If a mountain does injustice to another mountain the Almighty Allah will raze it to the ground.”

Those who know about oppression, who assist it and who are content with it are all partners in it.”

Supplicate during five [situations]: (1) when reciting the Quran, (2) during the call to prayer, (3) when it rains, (4) when two rows meet [in battle] for martyrdom, and (5) when the oppressed calls out, for there is no barrier between his call and the Throne.

“One who does injustice to someone else, the Almighty Allah does injustice to him, his children or his grandchildren through a third person.”

If a man is wronged and he prays against the one who wronged him, Allah says: “Here is one who prays against you, alleging that you have wronged him. If I wish, I could come to your aid or I could grant his prayer against you, or if I wish, I could delay it and encompass the both of you with My forgiveness.”

“Once abu Ja‘far al-Mansur ordered his governor of Makka and Madina, al-Hassan ibn al-Zayd, to set fire to the house of Ja‘far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) to burn him to death. The house of abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) was set on fire and it burned the door and the corridor. Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) came out walking in the fire and stepping on it and would say, ‘I am the son of ’A‘raq al-Thara (’Isma‘il), I am the son of Ibrahim, (Abraham) the beloved friend of Allah.”

there is in hell a mill-stone which grinds – will you not ask what it grinds? It was said to him: and what does it grind O commander of the faithful? He said: corrupt scholars, and sinful reciters (of the Qur’an), and unjust tyrants, and treacherous ministers, and lying officials.1 And there is in hell a city called ‘the fortified’ – will you not ask me what is in it? it was said: what is in it O commander of the faithful? he said: in it are the hands of the oath-breakers.

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "Three sins lead to immediate punishment and are not deferred till hereafter:- incurring displeasure of the parents, tyranny over the people, and denying the divine bounties (by abusing them)."

Abu’l Husayn `Ali b. al-Mu`alla al-Asadi narrated to us. He said: I was told that al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: Surely, for Allah there is a region called Vengeance. When Allah gives a worshiper wealth, with which he does not give Allah that which is due to Him from it, Allah will give him land from that region, wherein the money will dissipate and he will abandon it.

There is a mill in Hell which grinds five. Don’t you wish to ask me what it grinds?’ They asked him (MGB), ‘What does it grind?’ Ali (MGB) said, ‘It grinds wicked wise men; corrupt Quran recitors; wicked oppressors; dishonest ministers; and gnostics who lie. There is a town in Hell which is called Hasineh. Don’t you wish to ask me what is in it?’ They asked him, ‘O Commander of the Faithful! What is in it?’ He (MGB) replied, ‘The hands of the perfidious party (Nakiseen).’”

Indeed the reward of doing good deeds will arrive much sooner than any good deeds, the punishment for doing evil deeds will reach one much faster than any evil deeds. Having three characteristics is enough for one to be bad. These characteristics are: attending to other people’s faults while ignoring your own; admonishing others against evil deeds without being able to abandon them yourself and hurting your companion for nothing.”

There are six damned by God and all the Prophets (whose call is accepted): Those who add to God’s Book; those who deny the Divine decree; those who abandon my traditions; those who allow what God has forbidden regarding my Itrat ; those who take power by force to debase those whom God has honored; and honor those whom God has debased; those who dedicate the Muslim’s booties to himself, and make them legitimate for himself to use.”

Al-Sadiq Abu `Abdillah Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: When al-Husayn b. `Ali (as) was struck with the sword, and they prepared to sever his head, a caller called from the direction of the Lord of Glory from the depth of the Throne, saying: “O Nation that has become perplexed and misguided after its Prophet! Allah will not allow you to find success in Adha nor in Fitr.” He said: Then, Abu `Abdillah (as) said: By Allah, they will never find support nor success until the Revolutionary of al-Husayn (as) rises.

O Zurarah! The people at these times are in six groups: lions, wolves, foxes, dogs, pigs and ewes. As for the lions, they are the Kings of the world whichever one loves to can conquer and not get defeated. As for the wolves - they are your businessmen. They find faults36 when they want to buy, and they praise when37 they want to sell. And as for the foxes, they are those who use their religion as a means to eat.38 What they describe by their tongues is not in their hearts. And as for the dogs, they are those who growl at the people with their tongues, and the people honor them due to fear of their tongues. And as for the pigs, they are the effeminate ones, and their look-alikes who never refuse to participate in acts of corruption when they are invited. And as for the ewes, they are the believers whose hair is shaved, whose meat is eaten, and whose bones are broken just as when ewes are caught in between lions, wolves, foxes, dogs and pigs.’”

God’s Prophet (s) said, “My daughter (the Blessed Lady) Fatima (s) will be resurrected on the Resurrection Day with a shirt stained with blood, will grab onto one of the pillars of the Throne and say, ‘O the Judge of the judges! Judge between me and the murderers of my son.’ Ali ibn Abi Talib (s) also said that God’s Prophet (s) said, ‘I swear by the Lord of the Kaaba that God will rule in favor of my daughter Fatima (s).’”

she said: When the opinion of Abu Bakr and his supporters became unanimous about depriving Fatimah, peace be upon her, from Fadak, and she lost all hope about his reconsideration, she came to her father’s grave, threw herself upon it, and grievously complained about the way the {people} treated her. And she wept, till the earth on the grave became wet with her tears, and then she said in her elegy: "There have been after you news and incidents were you to witness them, you would have disapproved them; We have missed you, the way a parched land misses the rainfall, your people are in total disarray, see how they have reneged. Jibraeel used to endear us with the verses (of Qur’an), but after you have hid from us, all good is also concealed; You were the moon, from whose light people benefited, and upon you was revealed the books - from the Lord Almighty. Men have attacked us and humiliated us, after the Prophet, and all wealth has been usurped; The perpetrator of injustices to us will know his fate on the day of Judgement, where he will finally land. We have come across things which no one before us, neither from Arabs nor from the Ajam have suffered; So, we shall continue weeping over you as long as we live, and as long as we have eyes which well up with flowing tears."
