جعفر بن محمد بن عبد الله: ابن محمد بن عمر بن علي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام)، روى عن أبيه وروى عنه ابنه أبو محمد القاسم، ذكره النجاشي في ترجمة محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن عمر. وقال الشيخ في رجاله، في ترجمة المظفر بن جعفر بن محمد، في من لم يرو عنهم (عليهم السلام) (58): ان جعفر بن محمد روى عن أبيه، وروى عنه ابنه المظفر.
