جعفر بن سليمان الضبعي: البصري، ثقة، من أصحاب الصادق (عليه السلام)، رجال الشيخ (19). قال الميرزا في المنهج: لم أجده في رجال الشيخ في أصحاب الصادق (عليه السلام). أقول: هو موجود في النسخة التي عندنا، وكان موجودا في النسخة التي كانت عند ابن داود، وكذلك في نسخة المولى عناية الله، فمن المطمأن به أن السقط كان في نسخة الميرزا، والله العالم.
