جعفر الأحول: = جعفر بن الأحول. روى عن عثمان بن عيسى، وروى عنه يعقوب بن يزيد. الكافي: الجزء 4، كتاب الحج 3، باب الرجل يأخذ الحجة فلا تكفيه 63، الحديث 2، والتهذيب: الجزء 5، باب الزيادات في فقه الحج، الحديث 1449. كذا في نسخ الكافي والتهذيب الموافق للوافي أيضا ولكن في نسخة الوسائل " أبي جعفر الأحول " ويؤيد الاخر ما رواه الشيخ عين هذه الرواية عن جعفر ابن بشير، عن الأحول، عن عثمان بن عيسى، الحديث 1609، من الباب، ومن الظاهر اطلاق الأحول على محمد بن النعمان أبي جعفر الأحول فإنه المعروف بذلك.
