hadith 46
Hadith.1642 - Isma'il ibn Jabir narrated: I said to Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) "Is it permissible for a man to take Zakat even though he does not need it, and then give it in charity?" Imam (as) replied: "Yes." Imam (as) also said the same regarding the Fitrah.
1642 - وَ رَوَى إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ اَلزَّكَاةَ وَ هُوَ لاَ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهَا فَيَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا قَالَ «نَعَمْ» وَ قَالَ فِي اَلْفِطْرَةِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.

6. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ali from abu Jamilah from Jabir who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘One who pays zakat that is due on his property and presents gifts to his people is not a stingy person.’”
6ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لَيْسَ بِالْبَخِيلِ الَّذِي يُؤَدِّي الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ فِي مَالِهِ وَيُعْطِي الْبَائِنَةَ فِي قَوْمِهِ.

3. Ahmad ibn Muhammad from has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from ‘Amr ibn Shimr from Jabir who has said the following
“If one lends a loan to a man until he becomes able to pay back, his (lender’s) money is in Zakat and he is in Salah (prayer) with the angels until the loan is paid back.’”
3ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ أَقْرَضَ رَجُلاً قَرْضاً إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ كَانَ مَالُهُ فِي زَكَاةٍ وَكَانَ هُوَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ مَعَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ حَتَّى يَقْضِيَهُ.

8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, from ibn al-Mughirah from al-Mufaddal ibn Salih from Jabir who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ’One who pays zakat that is due on his property and presents gifts to his people is not stingy. A real stingy person is one who does not pay zakat that is obligatory on his property and does not present any gift to his people, but spends extravagantly on other things.’”
8ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لَيْسَ الْبَخِيلُ مَنْ أَدَّى الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَأَعْطَى الْبَائِنَةَ فِي قَوْمِهِ إِنَّمَا الْبَخِيلُ حَقُّ الْبَخِيلِ مَنْ لَمْ يُؤَدِّ الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَلَمْ يُعْطِ الْبَائِنَةَ فِي قَوْمِهِ وَهُوَ يُبَذِّرُ فِيمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ.

4. We were told by Muhammed bin Ali Majilawayh, from his paternal uncle, Muhammed bin Abi’l-Qasem, from Muhammed bin Ali al-Kufi, from Abu Jameela, from Jabir, from Abu Ja’far, peace be upon him, that he said: The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said
The stingy is not the one who gives the obligatory alms tax from his property and grants the final to his people. Rather, the stingy, the truly stingy, is the one who prevents (the deduction of) the obligatory alms tax from his property, and who prevents (the giving of) the final to his people, and who spendthrifts in other than that.
حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه، عن عمه محمد بن أبي القاسم، عن محمد بن علي الكوفي، عن أبي جميلة، عن جابر، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: ليس البخيل من يؤدي - أو الذي يؤدي – الزكاة المفروضة من ماله ويعطي البائنة في قومه وإنما البخيل حق البخيل الذي يمنع الزكاة المفروضة من ماله ويمنع البائنة في قومه و هو في ما سوى ذلك يبذر.
