Loan Is Protection for Zakat

Hadith 2135

“I once heard abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ’Lending a loan to a believer is a great gain which hastens reward. If he earns, he pays you back; but if he dies before paying, you can count it as payment of Zakat.’”

Hadith 2136

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.), would say, ’Lending a loan is protection for Zakat.’”
