تميم الزيات (تيم الرباب): روى عن، أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، وروى عنه محمد بن الفيض، ذكره الأردبيلي في جامعه، ولكنه غير صحيح، فإن الراوي عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام: محمد بن الفيض، من تميم الرباب، أي من قبيلة: تيم، كما صرح به الشيخ في رجاله، في باب أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام (671). والرواية مذكورة في الكافي: الجزء 6، كتاب الزي والتجميل والمروة 8، باب الاحتذاء 17، الحديث 8، وفيه كما في الرجال.
