بكار بن عبد الله بن مصعب روى ابن بابويه في عيون الاخبار عن أبي على الحسين بن أحمد البيهقي عن محمد بن يحيى الصولي عن أحمد بن محمد بن إسحاق الخراساني قال سمعت على بن محمد النوفلي يقول استحلف الزبير بن بكار رجل من الطالبيين على شئ بين القبر والمنبر فحلف وبرص وكان أبوه بكار قد ظلم الرضا عليه - السلام في شئ فدعا عليه فسقط في وقت دعائه عليه من قصر فاندقت عنقه واما أبوه عبد الله بن مصعب فإنه مزق عهد يحيى بن عبد الله بن الحسن بين يدي الرشيد وقال اقتله يا أمير المؤمنين فإنه لا أمان له فقال يحيى للرشيد انه خرج مع أخي بالأمس وانشد اشعارا له فأنكره فحلفه يحيى بالبرائة وتعجيل العقوبة فحم من وقته ومات بعد ثلث فانخسف قبره مرات كثيرة وذكر خبرا طويلا هذا اختصاره
