أحمد بن علي الشنوي: قال الشيخ الحر في تذكرة المتبحرين (81): " مولانا أحمد بن نصير الدين علي الشنوي السندي: كان أبوه قاضيا بالسند، حنفيا، وكان هو شيعيا. ذكره القاضي نور الله في مجالس المؤمنين، وأثنى عليه ثناء بليغا، وذكر له مناظرة مع بعض علماء أهل السنة جيدة، وذكر له مؤلفات، منها: رسالة في الترياق الفاروق، ورسالة في الأخلاق، ورسالة في أحوال الحكماء، ورسالة في أسرار الحروف ورموز الأعداد، وتاريخ كبير، وذكر أنه قتل شهيدا في لاهور ".
