أحمد بن الحسين بن عبد الله: = أحمد بن الحسين بن عبيد الله. قال ابن شهرآشوب في معالم العلماء (113): " أحمد بن الحسين (الحسن) ابن عبد الله (عبيد الله) المهراني الآبي: له كتاب ترتيب الأدلة، فيما يلزم خصوم الامامية دفعه عن الغيبة والغائب، المكافاة في المذهب، كتاب في النقض على أبي خلف ". أقول: هو من مشايخ الصدوق - قدس سره - وكنيته أبو العباس، حدثه بمرو. كمال الدين: باب في ما روى في ميلاد القائم عليه السلام 45، الحديث 15. وقد ترضى عليه مع توصيفه بالأزدي قائلا: " أحمد بن الحسين بن عبد الله بن محمد بن مهران الأزدي الآبي (رضي الله عنه) ". كمال الدين: باب في ذكر من شاهد القائم عليه السلام 47، الحديث 31.
